Fair enough. However, these protests are largely symbolic and I suspect they don't delay a single piece of equipment. On the other hand, consider the amount of money which has been squandered through the incompetent execution of the wars in Afghanistan and Iraq. (Literally billions missing) Consider the redistribution of funds to expensive contractors instead of shoring up the Armed Forces. Those outrages are thousands of times greater than a truck taking a different route, don't you think?

The city of Olympia and other port cities have an opportunity to play a great role in the stopping of an illegal war and the rejection of a rogue government. I pray they listen to the men and women of the Port Militarization Resistance who are testifying in this video. The stakes are very high, and the potential costs incalculable.

while I respect that you all are excercising your rights to protest I am a Army Medic at Ft Lewis and because your groups nationwide stop military shipments of supplies we do not get the supplies we need. I have personally deployed 3 times and I'm only 23. The supplies that I am talking about are not only offensive weapons and supplies but they are also food and medical supplies for our soldiers. Why deny soldiers those items? Please protest if that's what you beleive in but don't punish us.

The fruit of our repressive, fear-mongering government is a society ever more callous to violence and acquiescent to the Police State.
The degradation of our freedoms in this post-911 society is substantial. The war in Iraq and Afghanistan must be stopped at all cost! Demand impeachment of Bush/Cheney!
