The group ( backing band) before this album split from him after only 4 dates of their US tour. Smith thought it was the best thing that ever happened, and wante a more guitar driven sound of reformation TLC.... "the guitars need more Fall sound" By the way no news night for you isa reference to his appearances on that programme, and saying his former colleagues would never appear on a show like that. Lots of other references too if you listen carefully!

Can someone explain Reformation to me? Is it about Martin Luther who rebelled against the Catholic Church to form a protestant church? I know this isn't Reformation but if you read the lyrics it's very cryptic. I wonder if his lyrics are to be figured out by a selected few LOL and when they decipher it they win .....
