They call themselves gipsies. And they are from India. Communities of gypsies are to be find all over the world. And yes, because of stupid "lets' hold the population inside the borders" communist policies they've grown as number very much in former communist countries. @obyektiv81 I thought that gypsies usually came from Romania. Fyi, that is Balkans. :p Also at the moment Greece has a considerable minority of greek-born gypsies. This is Balkans as well.
