Oil is not gas and requires refinement to be usable as gas which is part of what they say has been the issue when they say there is an issue that caused gas prices to go up again.

They skip the fact that inflation drives down the purchasing power of the dollar, and that's why gas prices have gone up just the same as the value of gold.
