Trip to Mount Pilatus, Luzern, Switzerland (4/5) - 360° Panorama on Summit

I'm so glad to be born, grown up and living in one of the most beautiful places in Switzerland... in the town of Luzern. One thing which makes Luzern so ideal for living is - among many other things! - its close location to the alpine mountain world. Mount Pilatus can be reached directly from Luzern by public transport, panorama gondolas and aerial cableway. Although not very high (2132 meters above sea level / 7000 feet), Mount Pilatus offers a unique and impressive panorama of 73 Alpine summits and countless lakes. And best of all: when it's foggy down in town of Luzern, one can often enjoy plain full sun on top of the Mountain!

- When I see Contiki coaches in Luzern I always remember the time when I was on a Contiki trip to Morocco. That was in 2002 and it was the time when I got to know my wife...!

I am from New Zealand and I have been to the top of Mt Pilatus last year back in September 2009. I was on a contiki tour group. I must say Mt Pilatus is so high up all I needed was one beer and I felt like I was drunk...lol.
