  • What is the painting called and by who? If you don't know either please do tell me how did you find it? It is most pleasing with the music!

  • @ShinAkiraX

    It's by Adolf Menzel.

I should find the painting with Google image search or on Wikipedia.

  • Who is playing this Its great. I am a great fan of old friedrich been playing him since i was young. I do have an old tape of 5 concerto but have been searching for this recording. Could you please give me a clue as what to look for.

  • I sent you a private message, can't post links here.

  • I fully agree with you. Although this may not be Handel or Telemann, these concertos reach very high mucical standards compared with many other contemporary musicians. This music is in every way a pure delight!

  • He had other musical interests too, he wrote at least one opera libretto too. Someone else had to translate it into Italian though.

  • Frédéric le Grand - le meilleur roi dans l'histoire.

  • @ShinAkiraX Just so you know also, the man wearing the purple coat at the table, who's leaning across the table like he's talking to someone, is Voltaire! He would be the third from the left sitting at the table.

  • Delightful.

  • @helmuthoorn You forgot the appellation of greatest significance: Flautist!

  • @ShinAkiraX Menzel actually executed a whole series depicting the life of Frederick the Great.

  • Beautiful tone of flute*^o^* Thank you very much for posting & sharing *^o^*
