Fendi's Spring 2012 collection was inspired in part by Italian neurologist Rita Levi-Montalcini who won the Nobel Prize for Medicine in 1986. She's a mathamatician, a woman who loves luxury - she's perfect, but real.

The beauty look makeup artist Peter Philips was stunning - he used real gold and silver leaf on the models eyes to make them shine through the over sized sunglasses giving the look an overall effect of extreme luxury.

As Karl Lagerfeld explained to us backstage after the show .."You have the instant feeling of refined work and quality that only Fendi can do....only this can be done in Italy"
