It's no surprise to me when the average Joe refers to the MGM musical as the original Oz movie, but people calling themselves film critics should know better.

I completeley disagree with these reviewers. It captured the feeling of the books for me. And it saw sweetly sad at times, like The Secret Garden (1993) or A Little Princess (1995).

"Forgettable background music?" Well, there goes any respect I might've had for their opinion.

Wait, did they just say that Disney wasn't calling it a sequel, then criticized the makers for calling it a sequel? WHAAA?

This is the worst review I have seen, and these idiots should not have been given a camera to give their one sided opnions...from the very beginning they failed at stating thier facts. IE: mispronouncing Fairuza's name, calling Aunt Em her "mother". Also saying that the music was FORGETTABLE?! RtO has the most beautiful scores I have ever heard, and it's anything but forgettable. Haunting and melancholy, yes but NOT forgettable. The story was also anything but dull and it was full of spirit..
