I am a Catholic priest, and as a professor of the philosophy of religion, I have always taught the people in different cultures from their different histories can have different revelatory experiences of the same Divine reality. I wish the 17th Karmapa well, and I hope to have the pleasure to meet him personally one day!

@suzykafila that length of hair is normal for tibetan monks, they only cut their har using a number 2 guard.
