An example of how long it takes to replace an empty magazine with a fresh (loaded) one. In light of the recent Tucson mass shooting, some have proposed that restrictions be placed on the public's access to higher than standard capacity magazines (e.g., 30 rounds). The purpose of this video is to highlight the fact that, in a livefire situation, magazine replacement can be done in a matter of seconds. NOTE: I do not claim to be a firearms expert. This demonstration is by no means a scientific analysis and any active shooter situation will include many variables, which are not addressed here (e.g., shooter's experience, bystander tactical awareness, spare magazine accessibility, etc.).
