  • @MrJamesthecatholic. The prodigal son in Lk 15:24 was lost, an unbeliever, but he was born again when the Holy Spirit turned him around and brought him to the heavenly Father. Jesus said we are first born of the flesh from our parents but we are born again by the Holy Spirit when we believe in Jesus' blood sacrifice. Even when we are born again we can sin but we have an advocate in Jesus who is there to forgive us, not saying that we can live how we please as long as we are forgiven.

"Once we have put our faith and trust in His blood sacrifice our salvation is secured,"

Really ? Please explain "for this my son was dead, and is ALIVE AGAIN; he was lost, and is found.'" Lk 15:24.

How can he be alive (saved), then dead (not saved) and ALIVE AGAIN (saved AGAIN) - if salvation is secured ? Also show me the verse from the Bible which says "Once we have put our faith and trust in His blood sacrifice our salvation is secured"

  • @MrJamesthecatholic Once we have put our faith and trust in His blood sacrifice our salvation is secured, bcuz the HS will convict us to keep us on the right path. Jesus is our Advocate. Anyone who adds to or takes away from His blood sacrifice was never saved to begin with. Read 1 John chp 2.

  • @MrJamesthecatholic. Read 1 John chps 2 & 3. Those who believe in His blood sacrifice are saved, why would they want to live in continual grave sin? John goes on to say that if anyone sins, we have an Advocate with the Father, Jesus Christ the righteous. Believers can go straight to Jesus for He is our only Advocate to the Father. Paul said to run the race - stay with Jesus as your advocate - and heaven is yours and mine for keeps.

""Lord, Lord", they rely on this Mass sacrifice to save them. "

How do you know that it is not you - who claim "I am saved for sure" not the one saying "Lord Lord " ? Do you get to be the one who decides that its the Mass in which the "Lord Lord" people are - and NOT your protestant "service" which become the "Lord Lord" people ?

So please... quit giving me your private opinions and answer the question I asked you without trying to sidetrack.

  • @bornagainsaint1

"hose who have a secure faith and trust in Jesus' blood sacrifice are saved,"

Give me a straight answer - not your idea of what something is or isnt..

If there is a person who believes that Jesus died for his sins - but still lives in grave sin - does he still go to heaven ?

  • @MrJamesthecatholic. those who have a secure faith and trust in Jesus' blood sacrifice are saved, but they are still capable of sinning but they have an advocate - Jesus - to forgive them. the hypocrites say "Lord, Lord..." but they rely on those who have passed on to interecede between them & Jesus. they are the ones who cry "Lord, Lord...." .We have a perfect blood sacrifice but those who call upon the sacrifice of the Mass cry "Lord, Lord", they rely on this Mass sacrifice to save them.

"I believe that Jesus died for my sins & I am going to heaven."

So what you are saying is that all you have to do is "believe" that Jesus died for your sins and therefore you will go to heaven ?

"I don't look forward to sinning just to get forgiveness so I can live any way I want to."

Ok.. you wont. But what if there is a person who believes that Jesus died for his sins - but still lives in grave sin - does he still go to heaven ?

  • @MrJamesthecatholic. "I am saved" means I have been forgiven bcuz I believe that Jesus died for my sins & I am going to heaven. My salvation is secured. I am still capable of sinning, but I have an advocate - Jesus - to forgive me. I don't look forward to sinning just to get forgiveness so I can live any way I want to.

  • @bornagainsaint1

    "I am saved."

What do you mean by that ? Are you implying that your salvation is assured ? That you will for sure go to heaven ? That you will go to heaven even if you sin for the rest of your life ?
