Anyway, what you mean is to take power away from the rich. I agree, look at T.I., he had guns with him and was basiclly proven to have killed alot of people, people were predicting at least 40 years in prison. Instead he got a mere year on probation and 1000 hours of community work. This was because he got the best lawyers. Now if a poorer person killed a man, chances are he's going to prison for life or getting the Death Penalty. I'm into rap, I have all his albums, but this should not happen

Well I'd like to correct you. There is no Jewish Bible, but there is a Jewish Torah ;) Anti-Imperialism and Anti-Empire are the same thing. Anyway for the actual point, Imperialism is not what your talking about, Imperialism is when you conquer foreign peoples and take advantage of there lands, basiclly making your country bigger. That's why no one has Asian/African colonies anymore, and if they did they had them so that that a new government could be established (check the end of the Ottomans)

I'm not saying I agree with him, I believe there is no true "good" and try to find what would make people do something and see if its justified. I personally think that true evil is rare, dead when its for political movements. Thats why I hate when media demonizes another side just because they don't like us or have a different government.

the only crime he did was the patriot act and New Orleans. For the Iraq War, he thought there were chemical weapons in Iraq since they did not cooperate. He toppled the government only to find there weren't. The place was a mess and so he wanted to gain a new friend by maintaining Iraq until the Iraqi government can fight for itself. The problem is that not many people liked this, Americans and Iraqi innocents were killed everyday, so it was unpopular.

Hmm. That is a different interpretation to forgiveness that I've never quite heard of before. I'll have to think on that with some other people in my life. As far as George W. Bush goes, I'll have to leave that between him and his version of God. As Al Franken said in his book "The Truth With Jokes," Bush and his cronies think the Bible makes them omnipotent, but God has other plans.
peacelf, as Jesus was crucified, he asked his father to forgive the Roman Empire because they knew not what they were doing. Do you forgive George W. Bush for all the lives he has taken in 9/11, Iraq, New Orleans, etc? To me, that would be the ultimate test of Christianity because if you can forgive this man you are truly untouchable to hate. I can't do it. I cannot and will not ever forgive this President. I can honestly say that I hate him and want him to pay for his countless crimes.

hyper, I don't see forgiveness the same as most Christians. I see forgiveness as understanding why people do evil, and forgiving them for participating in evil deeds because you know what's in their heart. Forgiveness, also does not mean condoning the behavior. I seriously disagree with Bush's policies.

People tend to miss the point of the Bible, like any story told all events are centered around a message or moral.
The 'Old Testament' centers around the 'Ten Commandments' while in the 'New Testament' Jesus sums it all up in two;
Love God and keep his commandments.
Love thy Neighbor as thyself.
All parables, stories and events are "case studies" of the above and all names and dates are only the setting not the message or moral... no (mis)interpretations necessary.

Iknow, that is an interesting premise. I can see that it works in interpreting many of Jesus' parables and stories about him. I also stress the Kingdom of God movement that Jesus is leading because I believe he is building that kingdom by "loving God, keeping his commandments and loving your neighbor." These are the ways to join God's kingdom in the here and now.
