Eastwind Community Church in Boise, Idaho has partnered with Touch Africa International headquartered in Nairobi, Kenya to help advance the education possibilities for children. Building on a partnership established during our first mission trip to Kenya in 2008, the two organizations have joined together to focus on an impoverished population near Kaloleni in Kenya. Education is a significant privilege for the less fortunate, vulnerable or orphaned children. We started a child education sponsorship program at Eastwind, to allow people like you the opportunity to provide funds for these children, so they can enjoy all the benefits of attending school.

Eastwind currently has 138 children sponsored with Touch Africa's Children Education Project (TACEP) because of the generosity of so many! Our outreach program is open to anyone interested in sponsoring a child's education regardless of whether or not you attend Eastwind. "Outreach" means just that... reaching out to others... through others. A monthly sponsorship ($30.00 or put more simply: $1.00 a day!) will cover five basic needs; needs we too often take for granted: supervision by Touch Africa, private school fees and tuition, school uniforms, a lunch program and monthly medical check-ups.

If this kind of sponsorship program appeals to you, please visit our website at www.childsponsorship.eastwindcc.com to see our current posting of unsponsored children who are eagerly waiting to be sponsored.

Thank you for your interest and consideration!

  • I used to sponsor two children through World Vision. When I came across this organization with Touch Africa I was so impressed by the personal connection I could make with the kids I immediately switched over and now sponsor kids through this program! I love the fact that I can actually go and meet the kids, see where they live, go to school, write to them and receive letters and photos from them. The one on one relationships I am building with the kids are wonderful… a breath of fresh air.
