You know what the Israelites who needed Pesach Sheni were actually doing? They were looking after the bones of the tribal forefathers whom they took out of Egypt to be buried in Eretz Yisroel. It was in the merit of מת מצוה that G-d to give His people a second time/chance to bask in His glory. May we strive and be blessed to fulfil the mitzvah of proper burial for an Israelite, and may it bring about the rebuilding of the holy temple in Jerusalem so we can all bask in His glory!
