I wish these two would do a whole album of tones like this one

I listen to this drunk and sad in my dark room, streetlights coming in through the blinds, over and over. Feels good.

@boliverful1, Reed also claimed to have composed all of the Velvets songs which is´nt true. Reed mainly wrote the lyrics, the music and sound of the Velvets to a large extent are a product of Cale´s contribution.
It was also Reed´s selfishness that led to the 2nd split up during the reunion tour in 1992. IMO Reed is a pain in the ass!

"if he has quit drinking then why is he still so mean?"

Amazing song, did Cale and Reed actually wrote the lyrics ? I kind of wished Warhol would have, but...

This particular composition was written entirely by Lou Reed based on the Andy Warhol Diaries, although not quoted verbatim, he said he just wanted to create a feeling through Warhol's perspective...John Cale, in my opinion gives an absolutely brilliant reading of this work, if you remember, he also recited The Gift, another Lou Reed story on the Velvet Underground's White Light, White Heat...his monotone Welsh accent is transfixing....

And then I saw John Cale. And he's been looking really great.
