  • @pls24 What you call "raw emotion" is the exuberance of youth. Louder and faster is not more emotional it may have more energy and excitement which is as it is and should be. This is real blues, much closer to the Blues played by the grown ups in Chicago than the Kids in England. As a guitarist who has listened to hundreds of guitarist imitating Clapton he can still pull it off. There are certainly a good few just as good but the being the original is still important.

  • @fastandbulbis I do see that you are not a tenth of what they are now. I am not sure you could pass for "devout old school, except as devout old school". Do you even have an act or did we just read it? Don't worry about us being fooled that old is always better, try to live and play today if possible!

  • Is the Fretless Bass that JB play custom made?

  • Yes yes yes yes Fucken Yes!!!!!

    Oh man is this good!!!!!

  • @pls24 Clapton wrote in his autobiography that he was really sick the week these shows were scheduled, so I can't blame him if he's a little under par here.

  • My god!!!, this is an almost perfect mixture, just becuase perfection it's a mistake too, this ain't, but that conection between eric, jack and ginger is simply great and bluesy!!!

  • God I hate to say this but man, this sucks! What happened to Clapton...he's lost all of the raw emotion that made all his early work so damn good.

  • Jack's voice is bang on!!

  • @dlifeon Familiarity with the original version is what prompted my remark. I was hoping he'd do better with it, but hey–––the two versions are 37 years apart. He can't be faulted for too much.
