" Romance Violin " - Robert Schumann (Träumerei / Dreaming)

Some time ago a very dear friend wrote to me in view of Friendship on YouTube "I'm grateful for this Oasis of Loving Harmony". She couldn't have found better words!:) Inspired by her words I made this little video just to wish all of you a blissful and peaceful weekend. Thank you for your friendship! :)

Music composed by Robert Schuman, a German romantic Composer of the 19th century.
Träumerei is one of Schumann's best known pieces. It was the title of a 1944 German biopic on Robert Schumann. Träumerei is the love song for Robert and Clara Schumann in the 1947 Hollywood film Song of Love, starring Katharine Hepburn as Clara Wieck Schumann.

in 1965 my brother took me to San Francisco to the Guilded Cage. Unbeknownst to me at the time was a gay bar and where he confided to me that he was gay. At that time Rudolph Nuryev < sorry if I mispelled his name. Walked up to us and invited us to his suite at the Mark Hopkins Hotel. He put on this music and performed the piece for us. My brother passed of aids in 2008 and I will never forget this. He told my brother that he was the most beautiful man he had ever seen .

I cried when I listened to this. Today was my last day with my orchestra of ten years. Most of us grew up and learnt to play together. When I think about how I may never see some of them again, I can hardly breathe.
