@Sunshinesrays1 you don't even know that in today's world Azerbaijani and Azeri is used interchangably :))))), and yes, it is the people in north of Iran, Eastern, Western Azerbaijan provinces and some other provinces of Iran +people from Azerbaijan Republic, Iran's northern neighbour. This is the same people, and they are turks. Actually, Azeri is not a proper name for them, they are azerbaijanis. And yes, Googoosh's ancestors were from the azerbaijani populated provinces of Iran.
