Worked on this video March '84. Long day. Stage built on risers on one side of soundstage and "audience" area in the other. The car didn't run, so we pushed it into place. One Chapman crane, with all of us pulling it up and down. Stacy was a trouper. No complaints. The video was made by High 5 Productions. The director, Bud Schaetzle, went on to direct Garth Brooks' big stadium videos. The cameraman, Robert Brinkmann, later married actress Mena Suvari. Mena was 5 years old when we shot this.

@Velodynamic Yeah man, I agree. It does look fake. The instrument has been set up to explode on impact by removing the screws, so they probably used a dummy.
-
Looks as if it's faked = not so heartbreaking :)

2:25 is heartbreaking. Poor little SH-101.

@MidnightNSavannah There's actually a new show on Album 88 called Synthicide that plays a lot of new wave/synth-pop/electro-pop and such.
-
@badluck1986 HARDCORE!

Shyeah USA up all night. Caveman, lmao. Lets play a game, its called hide the salami.

Damn! Love it! Just proves that the 80's was a time for music innovation. Everything we hear now are just spin-offs of what the bands did back then.

looks like some folks know. It took me years to find this also. Very sentimental. This was the 80s band that I remembered and had on tape but nobody knew what I was talking about. Back when she came out as Stacy Q I was so excited then the music was a let down after SSQ. I miss electronic music that has melodies and is not much mindless techno.
