"Fan" is short for fanatic. I don't understand fandom at all, and I guess I'm different that way. There are a lot of artists and writers that I would like to have dinner discussion with or to tell them that I admire their work, or something like that, but I can't see caring beyond that point. Would I cross the street to see Charlie Sheen or Brad Pitt from a distance? No, though each are good actors and are entertaining. I dislike the idea of annoying the artists. Let them be.
