Bravo ma qui l'emissione a volte é sporca... per il resto grande tecnica

Impressive ! My favourite version however is the one by José van Dam (live Paris - 1972 with Vasso Papantoniou and Carerras) : more ominous and without superfluous ornamentations in the cabaletta.

Ramey, with exquisite breath control excels in this lovely cabaletta by Donizetti. Bel canto at its finest.

ΑMAZING!!!!!!!!!

I had the great pleasure of seeing Sam Ramey twice at the Lyric Opera in Chicago.....first as Mefistofeles in Gounod's Faust and again as Scarpia in Tosca. What a great, great voice!

The cabaletta is just about the best bass piece Donizetti ever wrote!
-
Knockout singing, as usual.

That's gotta be the best "Vieni, la mia vendetta" ever. Period. And what a E-flat!!!

This recording has long been a favorite of mine. When you like basses, you can come across some wonderful music that all the people who are listening to tenors and sopranos don't hear, unless they go to the opera, and then they tend to forget what the bass sang. Now, tenor and soprano fans, don't get mad at me. The tenors and sopranos get to sing some pretty amazing stuff, too.
