I will talk about a new monument in Berlin celebrating the 20th anniversary of the fall of Berlin wall.
This monument is a new conceptual approach rethinking the actual vision of the world.
The idea of these two young students is to represent a concept of equality between all countries around the world in a building scale.
This rehabilitation expresses a rethinking of the world, where each country is represented by a standard commercial container, they are all the same dimensions and that it means identical rights.
Each container, belongs to one country and will represents a piece of its territory. Each will show a free expression of what it wants in Berlin.

This project is located in an elongated building in Budapester Straße witch was erected between 1956 and 1957.
The third storey of the Bikini House was originally omitted, so that the upper and lower floors were linked merely by a series of columns. This prompted Berliners to give it its colloquial name. In 1978, the missing storey was added to create space for the arts gallery.
Nowadays, this concrete construction is an unoccupied space, which create a physical border between the Breitscheidplatz and the zoologischer garten.

Today the original idea of the omitted floor will be used in all the building, undressing it completely and just leaving the columns and the beams of the primary structure. This change will create a permeability where the city goes through the Bikini House and the nature of the zoo appears and invite to come into it.

After weeks of traveling, by boat, train, truck or plane all containers are going to be placed into the Bikini House by four giants moving cranes located on the top of the building, which handle the containers during all steps of installation.

The façade has been planned to allow the free movement of the containers by the cranes. Every inter column has a platform which slides out of the building and receive the container. These sliding platforms create different ephemeral spaces inside and outside the Bikini House changing the appearance of the facade according to the containers movements.
