This is part of the series about Chi. Chi is an important part of Chinese culture. It is important to realise that in our western culture we do not inherently have such a term. This means getting to graps with it will take some time. In the beginning we use metaphors and similies to say what it is like, however the direct perception is more revealing than descriptions.

In this video I despcribe a simple method to send Chi. Obviously a prerequisite to this is feeling Chi in the first place. The idea of sending Chi without feeling it is okay, but it opens you to self-deception and self-suggestions too.

The applications of sending Chi are touched on.

  • How can I send Chi to a friend whom I would like to have a good day and be happy? Like sending joy to a person, is this possible?

  • This is possible however I tend to avoid this kind of use; for a number of reasons. I know lots of people who do it. I suggest getting to know the feeling of your chi when you feel fantastic in a Chi ball betwen your hands. This you can then send.

  • wow...I think you have a good sensei. This is very good sensei. How about him leaving a Ki ball in the room and you trying to find it. This will help develop your diagnosis ability. The chinese character Chi is pronounced Ki by the Japanese.
