Landmines in eastern Libya

A Libyan civil defense team disarms landmines, a weapon known to harm civilians years after the fighting has stopped, laid by Muammar Gaddafi's troops. The team found 24 antivehicle mines and about 30 to 40 plastic antipersonnel mines off the road between Ajdabiya and Benghazi, in an area frequented by civilians in vehicles and on foot.

Look at the way they are getting mines out, they have no metal detectors or anything, and they walk around freely without any fear.

They know where they are from the beginning and they were later caught on video by BBC planting mines around Ajdabya.

@hilariousnickname 3 of my neighbors were killed when Gadafi soldiers approached Benghazi; they were killed in their houses by missiles. One of the soldiers caught there said that their orders were to flatten the city I am lucky that I didn’t lose any of my relatives so far, people can deny whatever they want because their families aren’t there and they don’t know what is on the ground
