Duke Nukem II improved on the original game in a number of ways. It had better graphics, larger levels(Well, they seem larger. They might be proportionately the same.), more types of enemies, different kinds of weapons with limited ammo, the ability to aim and look up and down, and, most importantly, better music and sound. The game starts off with the back story, Duke getting abducted by aliens while on what appears to be Oprah while talking about his book "Why I'm So Great." The aliens plan to use Duke's brain to conquer earth. Duke breaks out of his cell with his secret explodo-molar(no relation to the explodofruit in I.M. Meen), grabs a gun, and starts kicking alien ass. The dialog in the game is, if possible, cheesier than that found in the first game. Then again, Duke Nukem games have never been known for great dialog. The only point where the game falls flat on it's face? When Duke audibly talks at the beginning of the game. Whoever does the line is certainly no Jon St. John, and, sounds like a rejected Arnold Schwarzenegger impersonator. Still, for the time, it was amazing to hear a voice in a game that was so clear(or a voice at all at that point) in a game that came of floppies.
