JET Program Vlog #11 - at my desk

Hey Gang -
sorry for all the extreme close-ups - I have to remember to hold the camera farther away from my face when I make these "on-the-go" vlogs.

I know this vlog is getting a wee bit ahead, since we haven't discussed everything we need to cover in your preparations to come to Japan, and here I am already talking about your work environment. But I wanted to take advantage of the empty staff room so no one would think I was nuts talking to my camera. (To be honest, there were 3 student teachers in the room - college students studying to be Jr High teachers. I had to explain what I was doing so they wouldn't think I was a really strange person, and they talked to the students that came in as I was filming)

Anyway - random thoughts about my desk in this one - back to more of your suggested topics for the next one.

you mention you were at another school, did you have teach at more than one school during the week?

@TheNickolivas Nope. I was on a rotating weekly schedule - so one week at JH A and then the next week at JH B and then is was back to JH A for week 3 and so on. I did visit multiple elementary schools every week, but my base Jr High was the same for the duration of the week.

What do you think of Jyuken Eigo(Entrance Exam English)？ Have you helped your students for it？ I beleive that native English speakers can help or give them advice for it at least．

Could you bring your computer to the school and use to go on the internet? or do you have to use the shared computer?

at both schools, I have my own desk. I have heard about JETs with multiple schools having to share a desk.
