Het orgelt, choreography Pé Vermeersch

HET ORGELT ( It's organing ) is a choreography for church and live organ. This performance offers a powerful corporal dialogue with masterpieces of the organ repertoire. The Belgian choreographer Pé Vermeersch researches a possible place for religion in contemporary performing art. In the dance the abondance to the sound of the organ and the body play an important role.
Master organplayer Jan Vermeire plays pieces of Bach, Franck, Messiaen, Buxtehude, Pärt. Dancers are Pé Vermeersch, Mira Walschot and Angela Babuin, long time members of Radical HeArts dancecie. Costumes are conceived by the designer Anita Evenepoel. Het Orgelt seeks to be programmed worldwide, and adapts its program to the specificities of the organ.
