Those are not buses, their called trolleybuses. There may be an issue with new stuff, because it's new it's more powerful so I think that's why the first trolleybus makes more noise than the second, witch is older. Besides what is the problem with them, they are clean and eco, they don't puff smoke like buses. I think the solution to your noise problem would be to pass muny a plan to convert their vehicles to nuclear power, it's clean, last for long, and is quiet.

i dont get ur complaint....if its the beeping its to let the customers know that the bus is kneeling and to stand back...the second bus didnt kneel so obviously it made "less" noise

what's the difference? the first one is a Skoda electric trolleybus and the second one is a New Flyer electric trolleybus. Both are electric and supposed to be a lot quieter than diesel buses.
You are lucky to be living on a street served by trolleybuses!

@ukiahcat I think he is commenting on bus bunching., i.e., why are two busses running so close to each other (presumably) on the same line?

i count buses when i can't sleep..
doesn't really work since the owl lines run all night..
I see nothing wrong. If you are complaining on city noise then move to the country. comes with the territory living in a busy urban environment. SF must have the most people in the nation that complain about everything.
