The industrial age has increased CO2 in the atmosphere 38%. That makes "offsets" seem attractive at face value.

If AGW is true then Big Oil will have its profits cut slowly over the next century.

If the AGW hoax comes down then Big Wind and Big Solar will suffer losses of 100% tomorrow.

Or do you not realize that Obama could stop gulf oil drilling ith a pen swipe because the Government owns the oil and "Big Oil" is contracted to drill and move it..preferablly out of the US that way Feds collect Export tax on U.S. oil going out and Import Tax on Impoted oil?

Starting July 2009 the next generation Weather Sattilites started launching with the ability to note minor atmospheric gas composition changes vs local tempature

So far the only consistant factor is that there is no Co2% at the absolutee pole cause there is no percipitation, The Tropics experience up to 390ppm Co2 in the Summer and Upper tropics/Sub polers get as low as 266ppm in Winter
