The industrial age has increased CO2 in the atmosphere 38%. That makes "offsets" seem attractive at face value.

The Keeling Curve to you is like sunlight and mirrors to a vampire. No wonder you keep yourself in self imposed darkness.

Keeling and Suess determined how much CO2 is caused by man. I think we have been over this before.Keeling measured the amount of CO2 going into the atmosphere, Suess determined it was manmade by measuring the decrease in C14. It matches the amount of fossil fuels burnt

Keeling's son Keeling has similar work with O2 and it's corresponding decrease. Simple math. The scale of all this makes offsets a slippery slope.

I don't recall ever mentioning Al Gore.

Not a bad suggestion but like too many other idealists you forget this is ScAmerica. Have you ever seen anything, beside cheap electroniics & big box store merchandise, lower in price? As citizens reduced use & lowered demand by conservation or other means, whether electricity or water, the crooks still raised rates just to ensure their inordinate compensation & pension benefits.

John R. Christy has been accused of recanting his position that climate change is neither Anthropogenic nor Catastrophic, but he didn’t. He used two independent data sets, weather balloon and satellite for his findings. (see links in my about me) Later he only stated that there was some anthropogenic impact that could not be predicted 100 years out, but that what we’re doing was good for the plants.

Americans used to be able to invest in real things such as manufacturing. Now they invest what exists on paper, they make money, inflate a bubble that the non-investors suffer from when it bursts as the rich who cause this do not suffer at all for what they have done.
