They say the edge leakage of the plates, wastes energy in the form of heat.. have you thought of closeing off the edeges with clear plastic ?

What is the advantage of having neutral plates?

The answer is that .. for some reason the Neutral plates lower the amount of Amps required to run the cell. There is a limit to the number of plates but it does work.

Thank you for sharing your data with us. I find it very helpful. Question...you say you are using 1/8 teaspoon of lye but you don't say how much distilled water so how much water are you using? Thanks again for sharing your info. Keep it coming.

I start with 1/8th teaspoon in 1 gallon of water ... than add another 1/8 to the cell after it worms up... Every cell is different and depending on the amount of plates etc you will have to determine that yourself... but 1/8 starts it off.
