This is the tiny little green module from the picoprojectors, that I'm tyring to get running externally. After making this video, I discovered that the thing is probably a resistive heating element, rather than a TEC. A lot more research and playing around to be done to find what it likes. But, it's lasing, and I believe this is the first time anyone has ever managed to get one working outside the projector!

  • dosnt look like 532nm. Is it.? Good job getting this far.

  • @Lazereer I'm not exactly sure. It should be 532nm, but there may be something else going on in the process. I've seen suggestions about 510nm, but that seems a bit low to me.

  • ok nice work, did you try to warm it slightly w/hair dryer? is it possible to check voltage/mA going into the laser? i have a unit on order now ..............

Ps its a DPSS 532 output check these specs.

  • @LPFthings Yea for sure though it does not look 532 to me. It looks lower to me like 520nm or so. It has a lightness to it. Not so deep and pure are 532nm. Keep it up. Maybe if you get it stable you can test it on a spectrometer. As far as Ive seen ion looking this up no one has ever gotten one lite. SO good job. Iam excited .:D
