How to Shoot a Basketball

In today's video, Coach Tom explains how to have a killer first step to beat the defense as you take them to the rack! This move is something we call the "Long One and One." It may seem simple, but it will get you to the hoop and will get the defense on your back... right where you want them!

hey shot science thanks for the move i love this move so much that i evolved it in to and even more lethal move that it is see i use it when im dribbling when i want to go to the basket or i do my moves i can blow pass my defenders its the same move just drop your shoulders so the d will open up be ready with the hammer because a lot of time they will reach for the ball warning:remember thers always help d if there close dont do the move or they will steal it

isn't this a travel? i think in europe/asia, it's considered a travel. you have to put the ball on the ground before you lift up your pivot foot

@ltko91 Actually, by rule, the ball needs to be out of your hand before you lift your pivot foot not touch the floor!

@jaythemammoth As a defender you must get off the guy with the ball in order to have time to react. If you do then you may give them and opening to shoot the ball.
