Sound quality is not the best on this, but I wanted to show you that these amps can perform live. I did two nights as a three piece band. 4 hours each night. This little thing did great. We played everything from 3 Doors Down, ZZ, Cars, 3rd Eye Blind. I had good tone all night.

  • Just bought one of these and I am more than pleased with mine. I was looking for a real nice clean tone and was able to get several out of the VT30. What amp model/settings were you using? Real nice playing btw.

  • @js091402

Was using the boutique clean with a tube screamer and some delay.

  • i'm looking at buying one of these. Did you have to mic it to play a gig and is it possible to hook it up to a cabinet to get it louder?

  • I always mic my amps when I play live. This 30 watt version can't hook up to a cab but I think the 50 watt version can.

  • Great tone. Is this the newer Vox Valvetronix with 22 amp models or the older one with 11 amp models?

  • The newer one with 22 amps.

  • I played with a 15 watt vox in a 4 piece band, just a garage practice but damn.. Vox's15 watt can crank some serious ass.

    I can't imagine a 100 watt

Is the amp mic'd? Or is it just by itself?

  • I mean ill be playing at church so i think ill be good lol...thanx man!

  • Cool! that´s one question everybody makes when they one to buy this little amp...did you make any modifications to it? like speaker swapping or anything ?

  • Did you use a setup with the power control to use it with the mic, or is using those 30watt with the mic

  • Ihave a question... mine got all floppy on me. Does this mean the tube needs to be replaced? and if so... how in gods name do you get to it! =O

  • @thejoshman117

It should be plenty of volume. The amp has an attenuator on the back... Most store salespeople wisely turn this down. You'll find it can really be loud if you adjust this knob. If I owned a VT30 I'd convert it into a head and use a larger cabinet with it. This way you get the bass response too. (It already has the volume)

  • hey guys i need some advice.

this amp or a peavey bandit 65(old version of the 112)

i can get both for around 100

i play a lot of metal and I do have a guitar processor.

  • @LiamBamBam It IS mic'd

  • how does this hold up gig-wise without being mic'd?
