This is actually one of the best book-to-movie examples I can think of. I thought the film got all the characters right. It has a natural momentum, very equal to the way Anderson wrote the novel. If you haven't read/seen speak, I highly recommend it.

@EffinNikki yeah thats the thing that bothers me is that people see her and say "omg its bella swan!" when its like "omg she had a long career before she sold her soul to twilight!" she;s a legitimately good actress when she;s not playing off "vampires"

and @luchia1100 idk how true that is, because im a teenager and have never met anyone who actually likes twilight as opposed to people who like making fun of it, which there;s a lot of.

I saw several of Kristen's pre-Twilight movies and I admired her work, so I was disappointed when she agreed to do Twilight. Bella is written as a rather dull teenager on the outside who's interesting inside. I knew Kristen would be forced to play her like that with everyone else around her playing interesting, even exciting (Edward and Jacob) characters. Someone like Vanessa Hudgens should have played her.
