Headlight restoration kit from cloudlesslights.com, restores foggy, cloudy, dirty plastic headlights. The first kit out there. The business is no longer open, but was very successful for several years until every major manufacturer realized that there was some profit to be made and jumped on the bandwagon.

This was the first single serving headlight restoration kit on the market and sold for $4.95 each. I developed this kit while in college and sales of over 5000 units helped me to pay my tuition, books, and many living expenses. Many people know how to do this... and if not, I am going to tell you exactly what was in this kit!

There were two different grits of wet-sanding sand paper; 600 grit and 1200 grit silicone carbide that is commonly used on automotive paint applications. This sandpaper is somewhat harder to find and not available at most hardware stores, it is usually found online or in automotive paint distributor warehouses. The "special goo" is just regular buffing compound (3m perfect it brand) which acts like a liquid sandpaper and polishes the plastic to a clear finish. The directions did recommend using a carnuba wax to seal the plastic lights and protect from quickly re-oxidising. I would never recommend clear paint or clear nail polish afterwards because it is hard to apply and looks even worse after it starts to go.

The basis for this kit was that it does not make sense to buy 2 packs of sandpaper and a bottle of rubbing compound just to fix 2 headlights. That would cost $30-$40 in supplies just to use a small bit of each. Therefore CloudlessLights was born, get everything you need for just $4.95. It was very popular and my fingers hurt from assembling all of those tubes; but it was fun and most importantly... I learned a ton!

Thanks for watching!

  • holy shit it work but there different car dumb ass

  • I logged in just to dislike this video. I bought a similar product and it destroyed my headlights... Don't get suckered in like I did.

  • @brifcani1 It isn't fake! Look around youtube and there are hundreds of videos showing how to do this using various grades of glass paper and cutting compound or using good old toothpaste. Anythng slightly abrasive will do as you are just polishing the surface.

The cream at the end is a cutting compound, so it clears what the sanding had left.

    You can get great results!
