@5959512 Hey, I'm from Ann Arbor too and I am thinking about applying to Bowdoin next year! How do you like it so far and would you recommend this college?
@NoFuturePete I grew up in small college town (Ann Arbor, Michigan) and moving to Maine was a huge culture/lifestyle change. I couldn’t imagine moving from New York to Brunswick….it’s whole different world here. Life moves so slow it’s hard to believe people are still breathing! It’s also winter like 9 month’s a year and there’s not much to do.
I guess i say that to say that I am thinking of Howell and how that is not seen. Or parties that do not involve the College Houses. The Pub is coming to mind and also the get togethers that are really chill and do not involve dancing per se.

This seems to be a really limited perspective of the bowdoin social scene.

I go here too. I like it okay because there are themed parties every week and everyone is invited so no frat-invite necessary.
