1.1.2 iPod Firmware Downgrade

This is a tutorial on how to downgrade your iPod Touch/iPhone firmware from
1.1.2 to 1.1.1.

1. Plug iPod into your computer and launch iTunes.

2. Download copy of 1.1.1 firmware from link i have provided for you. Save it to a easy to access place on your computer. Once done downloading..

3. Go into iTunes. Hold Shift on your keyboard and click check for updates or update, whichever one you might have. Look for the 1.1.1 firmware we downloaded earlier. Click it. Then click Open.

4. Your iPod will not go through a series of steps to downgrade from 1.1.1 to 1.1.2

5. Once it is rebooted you are now running the newly installed firmware.

Ok. . . I did everything you said and at the end it gave me the message "The iPhone could not be updated." And gave me the error code "(5)". What now?

try and try again. restart your ipod and then try it. unplug it from the computer, plug it back in. then hold shift and click update, find the firmware version and click open.

my ipod went into recovery mode when i installed the firmware

strange. if you still have it connected, seeing that its been 2 hours since you wrote this, try unplugging it from your computer and then turn it on and off.

Have an IPod 1G and thought that a jailbreak would be possible with 3.1.3 but it dosen't so i need to set my Version to 3.1.2 again :S

i try open the ipod from my computer then my computer freezes its fucked and i need music!! I was goofing around ebay yesterday, i found terrific mp3p . it's P3. ebay reviews that it offers various mucis file. so i wonder P3 also has music player system like itunes. it seems me that dont need to encording file and not take so long for download new firmware. above of all , it might not happens error .
