I am trading my Gibson SG Standard for a Tele Deluxe Edition today.. I hope I still can be able to play rock with this guitar even without my humbuckers? what's your opinion on this?

Great sound with your telecaster!

I found that recording into a computer, it's just as easy to face away from the monitor and it does the same trick as turning it off. Might make recording a little bit more efficient.

Lots of famous rockers have played teles and strats with single coils, so yes! you can still rock! Think: Hendrix, David Gilmour, Ritchie Blackmore, Billy Corgan---they all play(ed) single-coils.
Your tone won't be as thick; there's no way around it. You can, however, get something like a Seymour Duncan Pickup Booster to "thicken" the sound.

hey man! love the solo. i see that you have texas specials too. could you give me your review on them? i have some specials sitting on my bed i havent installed them yet =\

Thanks!
To my ears, my tele with the texas specials make the thing sound like a cross between a regular tele and a Gibson Les Paul Special with p-90s---although it is closer to the tele than to the LP special.
The texas specials give it a much fuller tone, especially in the mids. You'll be able to play power chords without them sounding thin or tinny.
Eventually I'd like to have a tele with actual p90s in it, but this is probably as close as I can get without routing out new holes.

Hey, thanks for the comment. It's always risky messing with a great song--I'm glad I didn't ruin it!

man, nice playin!
do you need to shield it to get rid of the noise?

Thanks for the comment!
These aren't shielded, although I don't play live much so it usually isn't a problem. Also, I don't remember it really being a problem those few times I have played live.
However, when I'm recording into my computer, I have to turn the monitor off--it makes them hum like crazy.
