CoD Mw2 Prestige Mode (what you lose)

before and after effects of prestige mode. yes i know my K:D ratio sucks, I just grinded..

What you lose: All challenges, perks, custom classes, weapons, camos, killstreak unlocks, weapons & level.

Keep: Accolades, Titles, Emblems, Game types, stats (such as kills, deaths, headshots etc).

Gain: New challenges (basically just weapon kills), new titles, new emblems, more custom class slots & a new icon by your name.

There is a maximum of 10 create a class slots. You gain 1 extra slot for every odd number prestige mode you enter (1,3,5,7,9).


If you are already Prestiged, when you move on to the next level of prestige, all "prestige challenges" carry over to the next level.

My Opinion:
Do it! Basically unless you spent all of your time specifically unlocking the difficult challenges then there is no reason *not* to. The high end weapons really aren't that great in the first place, especially since the 1887 nerf.. and the AK47 is just.. meh. So if you're gonna play, why just sit at 70 not gaining xp when you can be on your way to the next level? Just my opinion :)

DOES ANYONE KNOW WHY I LOST MY PRESTIGE ONE LEVEL 70 PLUS ALL MY WEAPON ACHIEVEMENTS,I WAS IN A GAME WHEN THE GAME FROZE SO I TURNED THE XBOX OFF,I LOGGED BACK IN AS NORMAL AND FOUND MY PROFILE HAD BEEN RESET TO BEGGINER.

the cool thing about being a Prestige is you rank up a lot faster then normal so its really worth it, So when choose to go Prestige mode you lose a lot for doing so but the great thing is you get something in return lol :D

i googled the question and this was one of the answers from yahoo answers i copied and pasted it so this is exactly what the guy said tell me if its true or not

In the first MW, prestige actually gives you a better chance to be on the team with higher ranking people (and thus generally better players).

Being on a better team makes all the difference, especially if you want to have fun and/or hate to lose. Assuming it works the same way in MW2, getting prestige is to your advantage.
