  • Hi friends , I have macbookpro 13" about 1 year , I use heavy applications and I love using flash softwares. It is 1 month My temperature is at 90 , and my fan doesn't seam work or turn at all instead I have some type of strange noise , make you feel like something is broken inside and fan can't turn , I dont know what to do the noise is really strange , not loude I would say noise is really low but each second like a clock it make noise sound like this " jek jek jek jek " any 1 can help plz.

  • @MegaSHamed Yes it is the fan. Have it replaced and the noise goes away. I also bought a chill pad with 2 fans from Targus to help keep the MacBook cool. Helps a lot.

Recently, my MacBook has started overheating a lot again. I think the replaced fan has failed just over 1 year.

  • @1800Messiah thanx 4 quick answer man , I will buy tomorrow a new fan with a chill pad to cool it down , do you think when my flash plug ins use over 70% of CPU could be also because of temperature and fan ?

Because when I start to have fan noise , I started to have my flash plug ins that raised over 70% of CPU use , kernel task start over 60% , working on AE making videos start to use over 80% of CPU , you had the same problems ?

  • @MegaSHamed Lol! It's morning here in Australia pendant que la biot en France!

Anyway, I found that running programs which are not intel native- so they run in compatibility mode, cause the problem. Microsoft office, Warcraft III, flash etc

  • Said they would call me back when it was ready. I waited 4 days. No call, so I called them. They said they tried to contact me (I had no missed calls OR missed emails). The technician said it was due to the fan manipulation (Fan Control 1.2). I say BS because it was happening b4 I used Fan Control 1.2. Anyway, they replaced the fan under warranty and it is running BETTER THAN EVER. I also bought a Targus Laptop base which has 2 fans. I use this whenever I Warcraft or City of Heroes.

  • Sent to Apple 3 days ago. Still waiting for a call to pick it up- hopefully all fixed up.
