vegans are people who don't eat ANY animal products -- in other words, nothing that came from an animal. whether it's milk or meat or eggs or even honey (which comes from bees). vegetarians, on the other hand, are those who don't eat actual animals or fish, but they will eat some animal products: milk, cheese, eggs.
veganism is absolutely not a 'selfish' thing to do. in most cases, people become vegans because they care about others than themselves -- animals. that is not being selfish.

vegan is someone who does not eat animal or their products( including Honey, milk, cheese, eggs, cream butter etc.) nor use them in any cosmetics or purchase cosmetic brands that have tested on animals nor use them or their products as clothing (including silk, wool, leather and sheep skin)
Vegetarians like vegans do not eat flesh from animals but do eat eggs honey milk butter cream etc. they are able to wear wool and silk

Hey, I just watched the meet your meat video and when I looked up meat on Peta's website, the first time that came up was an article from paper (The Olympian) about you and how you became a vegetarian. Honestly, I think it's a great thing your doing and even though I'm not one. Totally support you, keep it up, and maybe one day when they get the soy meats I like at a price I can afford I'll turn Vegetarian too. Oh and my mom's the same as yours when it comes to why animals exist.
