  • It was 1963.

  • Seriously, all these madcaps and other toons are funny and awesome, but they are kind of hilariously disturbing. The women were, or become villains in like every one of these. Each film is like 7 minutes of woman abuse. Someone really had an axe to grind with the female race. I've seen plenty of stuff from the 60's which was generally misogynistic, but these shorts are totally something else. It's like watching movies made by a secret fraternity of women haters.

  • a cliche that sets womens lib back years

she should have used the rolling pin

  • Reminds me of an old Andy Griffith episode in which a married couple is so friendly outside of the house to others but quarrel with each other all the time. Andy tries to reverse this behavior but ends up having them being rude to everyone else despite being kind towards one another.

Why is Harry washing the dishes in the bathtub? XD!

  • Sharples wrote the melody for "It's a Hap-Hap-Happy Day", and used it in dozens of Famous/Paramount cartoons after he became the studio's musical director in 1945...that was his "signature". Besides, every time he used it, he got publishing royalties!
