Law enforcement is a racket. If prop 19 passes, local law enforcement agencies are looking at a large source of revenue drying up while our rehab/incarceration facilities are looking at a drastic loss of 'customers'. In many cases these are privately owned for-profit facilities. Our 'peace' officers are lobbying to keep cartels alive simply to justify their inflated bureaucracy. Without any crime, we don't need them.
