Comparing the opening of the second "Tetsuwan Atom" series (with its eponymous theme) to one of its English dubbed counterparts.
When the first VHS was released, I asked Manga Video via email whether it was the Australian or Canadian dub, and they replied "Canadian," so I made the video accordingly. I later found out that this was the Australian dub, and later still that it was actually produced in the US, and is only called the Australian dub because it was widely shown down under, and barely (if at all) over here, so I may eventually redo it. Another reason is the outdated info-at the time, it was only available in the US dubbed and in dub broadcast order. Since that time, it's been released on DVD bilingual and in broadcast order. Unfortunately, the episodes are edited to match the dub. I plan to eventually make a complete list of the cuts, and maybe I'll post some of them.
You should do the German vs English 80's!

I prefer the English version. It's nice that the Japanese version did mention he's a Child of Science and talked about his horse powers, but the English version just sounds better to me. Maybe because it's more catchy and I'm so use to it...

In the Japanese version I like the part "Child of Science" better. Also the Japanese lyrics tell about Astro's power level and his 7 powers. I wish they kept that in the U.S. version (or whatever). Just my personal taste. :)

I like The English (which was made in America, not Canada) better.
