  • @MichaelBallack91 Clapton was Hendrix's idol, and who he looked up to. Hendrix was living in New York and was one of the many guitarists in the area. He became famous when people in the music industry brought him to England. He came back to America and was a God. Now the only way he agreed to go to England was if he could meet his idol, Eric Clapton. Don't put down Clapton and I wouldn't make that comparison. With no Eric, there would be no Jimi.

  • @TonyCook2012 How old are you? I suspect you don't know what you are talking about. Using the word 'bad' meaning good came after Hendrix died.

I am 54 and I remember. Also my recollection is that Lou Reed was a pretty bad guitarist. However this is a Cream video, dropping Hendrix's name, and posting about Lou Reed is going way off topic.

  • @TonyCook2012 kid. your stupid.

  • When we had the freedom to smoke in rooms! ....... And thats coming from someone who doesnt smoke! CREAM ARE AWESOME, LEGENDS OF MUSIC :D

  • Poor quality video, stage and video but the quality of large group , Musical geniuses forever..... they did not need many lights and things like that

  • I don't know if Ginger Baker is still alive, but I heard him on a TV special about 2 years ago still doing his 15 minute solo, at 68 yrs old!!!! Clapton is king!!!

  • @johnnystaccata my age seems "largely off topic" 54? As in studio so. now I c why u r so HIV negative. Lou reed is a GREAT guitarist regardless of what some over the hill hippy with a chip on its shoulder thinks… all I did was a make a comment about what I have read of histories greatest guitarist's opinion of a fellow musician and you get all bent. Try another med... this one is not working pops.

  • @johnnystaccata wow. as if. "largely after he died" as if anyone really knows what "bad" means? seems to me hendrix would have no reason to diss a fellow musician ...by calling him "bad" if "bad" is "hip" wouldnt hendrix have known by the circles he ran in that bad was good before "super bad" and jimi's death? lmgdfao

  • @TonyCook2012 I don't know for sure, but I suspect Hendrix meant bad meaning bad, rather than bad meaning good. The use of 'bad' meaning good started largely after Hendrix died

The song "Super Bad" by James Brown was released on October 1970. Hendrix died in September 1970.
