Decision of the Appeals Chamber, issued on 3 February, 2010, to direct Pre-Trial Chamber I to decide anew whether or not the arrest warrant should be extended to cover the charge of genocide.

The situation in Darfur, Sudan, was referred to the International Criminal Court by the United Nations Security Councils resolution 1593, on 31 March, 2005.
On 4 March, 2009, Pre-Trial Chamber I issued a warrant for the arrest of Omar Hassan Ahmad Al Bashir, President of Sudan.
Al Bashir is allegedly criminally responsible for war crimes and crimes against humanity.

The Appeals Chamber is composed of Judge Kourula, presiding judge, Judge Song, Judge Trendafilova, Judge Nsereko, and Judge Aluoch.

In the courtroom is a series of videos that aims at making the proceedings before the International Criminal Court (ICC) more accessible to the public.

This video was produced in 2010 by the Public Information and Documentation Section of the ICC, for non-profit and educational purposes. The ICC encourages its use, reproduction and distribution for the same purposes. Sale or commercial use is strictly prohibited.
