August 31, 2009. La Crescenta, CA. This is the second installment of views from my house of the firestorm attacking the Angeles Crest National Forest and Crescenta Valley.

I was evacuated earlier in the day (3AM) but it was later reneged and I returned home. I slept for a wink, didn't go to work so that I could hold down the fort and wound up catching these images with my DVX100.

Mount Lukens was like a beast of a volcano.
These are very strange days in our sleepy valley town 12 miles north of Downtown Los Angeles.
