God' showing no partiality seems to be a common statement and argument against God's sovereign election. Whether that argument has any weight or not is one issue, but it is clear that you cannot do that contextually from Acts 10:34.

  • The command to do something doesn't require the innate ability for one to be able to comply with that command. Every intent of man's heart is only evil (Gen 6&8), how then can we do anything that would be considered good...namely, have faith in Christ. we must deal with the biblical texts of John 6, romans 8&9, and Ephesians 1 (to name a few) to examine election. These (along with others) need to be examined to prove whether election is conditional or not. the vs in the vid arent to election.

  • Election is conditional! Yes,it depends entirely on GODs Decree before the foundation of the World. Anyone who wishes to come may come, thats always been true. It certainly is not conditional because of anything we do.

  • Election is conditional friend. It can't be an unalterable decree, without making all the warnings of scripture null and void of their applicable meaning. The gospel is (believe, love, obey) which requires a continual submission of our soul and body to the will of God. You can't maintain Calvins opinion without contradicting Jesus own commandments. The impartiality of God reveals that there are 2 groups of people, those that love Christ and those who don't.

    (Romans 2:7-13)

  • amen

  • Correct. This passage concerning God not respecting persons, is the very doctrine as John.3:16 that God's purpose in salvation was no longer limited to that of the Jews, as a nation, but now in the fulness of time extends the borders of Israel and goes out into the ends of the earth. Exactly what Christ was teaching Nicodemus. Mr Ruggerio has not fully grasped this it would appear.
