Apple iMovie iMovie comes with every new Mac (OS X). Now it is upgraded to iMove'11 and is a part of iLife'11 package. Apple iMovie'11 is an excellent (and free) video editor for the Mac platform, withmany advanced features and add-onsand plug-in support. Unfortunately, the software is only free if you buy a new MAC system. If you want the software without buying the system, it is available for purchase. Anyway, it is one of the best free video editing programs available for MAC users.

There should be a set of Keys you can press to reset Final Cut obviously I can see there is some kind of confusion in the program. I have no idea how to use Final Cut, but most advanced video editing software has this. As I don't know exactly what's causing it you might be able to Google a solution with Resetting the program.
