***A note about the Medina and filming the souks: I had been warned by several people to not film at all. I'd heard stories about some people being extremely aggressive and getting really mad when you filmed them or their stores. Since it was a group of 5 girls, and none of us spoke Arabic or french so we could try to explain why I was filming, I figured it'd just be better to get a *little* footage and stay safe. I don't want to give the impression that the Medina is a dangerous place. It's not. You just need to respect the culture and watch out for pickpockets (as you would in any crowded, public area).
